As the genesis of the college basketball season looms on the horizon, the folks on Bowerman Drive have made sneakers honoring three of college basketball’s legendary programs.
Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina will all have themed versions of the Nike Free Trainer 5.0.
The UK version features white and metallic silver coloration for the midfoot and forefoot, with game Royal and deep Royal and “Kentucky Wildcats” lettering wrapping around the heel. It also has “UK” branding on the tongue and the logo is created by lining up the insoles next to each other.
The Duke pair is made up in white, black and game Royal and has the school logo on the tongue. “Duke” lettering on the heel and “Blue Devils” spelled out on back of the tongue and on the insole.
Valor Blue, College Navy, and white make up the UNC pair. The interlocking “NC” logo adorn the front of the tongue and tarheel logo on the tongue’s back. The classic argyle pattern on the heel. Like the UK model, placing the insoles side-by-side completes a logo, in this case, UNC’s Ramses mascot.
These Nike Free Trainers 5.0 will release Friday,October 30th at 10:00 AM.
