An old adage in entertainment and storytelling is to leave your audience wanting more. That is an axiom that Nike has not grasped. When Nike has a home run shoe on their hands, they will either outright bury it, make it nearly impossible to obtain, or they will absolutely run it into the ground. The case of the Shattered Backboard 3 is a clear-cut example of the latter.
The “Shattered Backboard 3” is the third Air Jordan 1 that commemorates a young MJ breaking a backboard on a slam dunk during a 1985 exhibition game. It feature a black and starfish upper with an effect that is supposed be representative of the shattered glass from the aforementioned backboard.
The upper sits atop a vanilla midsole and outsole.

The “Shattered Backboard 3” Air Jordan 1 is scheduled to drop October 26.
