The summer rest is coming to an end and the EuroLeague teams are slowly starting their preparations for the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.
As usual, the players first go through the traditional medical check-ups and then continue with their individual or team practices depending on the plan and program.
So far, most of the teams have started the preparations in some capacity while there are squads that have gotten slightly longer rest.
On the other hand, there is the case of Maccabi Tel Aviv which has found itself in a limited position due to Israel’s covid protocols and is trying to find a way to participate in foreign preseason tournaments.
Barcelona
Barca has started the preseason with 16 players, including seven from the B-team. Nicolas Laprovittola, Cory Higgins, and Alex Abrines will join the team later on.
Olympiacos started as well but also had a reason to celebrate – Shaq McKissic’s birthday. They will practice individually until August 19th.
The Lithuanian team will start off the preseason ‘officially’ very soon but they’ve already been fit for it.
