he Albany State University Golden Rams baseball team has won 9 straight games after sweeping the Morehouse Tigers in a 3-game series at the ASU West Campus. The Golden Rams improved to 21-7 (20-3 in the SIAC). The Tigers fell to 7-20.
In game #2 in the series, the Golden Rams won 11-1. The players of the game were Lachlan Ross, Chase Karn and Jonathan Henry. Ross went 1-3 at the plate. Ross hit a 3-run home run, had 4 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Karn went 3-4 from the plate. Karn scored 3 runs, had a RBI and stole 2 bases. Henry pitched 7 strong innings for the Golden Rams. Henry only allowed 1 run and 3 hits while striking out 7 batters.
In the final game of the series, the Golden Rams won 13-1. The players of the game were Fisher, Nicholas Hernandez and Brady Davis. Lavoisier Fisher went 3-3 at the plate. Fisher hit a 2-run home run, had 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Hernandez went 1-2 at the plate. Hernandez hit a 3-run home run and had 5 RBIs. Davis got the win for the Golden Rams. Davis pitched 4 innings and didn’t allow an earned run. Davis gave up 3 hits and struck out one batter.
The Golden Rams will host Benedict College in a 3-game series at the ASU West Campus for their final regular season home games on April 15-16.
