Tennessee State XC’s Robert Hooper has record-breaking day at Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Tennessee State Men’s Cross Country’s Robert Hooper broke the school record in the 8K on Saturday morning and earned a top 50 finish as they competed in the Louisville Cross Country Classic. Hooper logged a 26:27.5 to break the old record of 26:46 that was set by Quamel Prince and came in 44th out of 412 runners.   
 
The Tigers finished 35th of 45 teams. Thaddee Barge finished in the top 100 as he ran a 27:03.4 to finish in 84th place.
 
TSU will run again on Friday, October 14, as they are set to compete in the Blazer Classic in Montevallo, Ala.
