Atlanta, GA- After a rough start to the season, Morehouse Basketball is back! The Maroon Tigers are currently on a two-game winning streak after going undefeated in the HBCU All-Stars Classic this weekend.
Saturday night, the Maroon Tigers played Livingstone College, winning by a score of 69-53 in a game where both teams were vocally going back and forth throughout the game.
The Maroon Tigers struggled shooting in the first half, only going 34% from the field and 7% from beyond the arc. But in the second half, they decided to go in the point more, as they shot a team 43%.
Keshawn Pegues had a huge weekend at the Challenge he led the team in scoring back-to-back nights. Pegues scored 17 in this game as he shot 50% on the day along with seven rebounds.
Overall, the team’s free throws kept the lead safe down the stretch, as the Maroon Tigers went 18 for 23 from the line.
The Maroon Tigers look forward to extending their win streak away against Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, on Wednesday, November 22.
