Atlanta Falcons’ wide receiver Julio Jones was rocking Air Jordans on the sidelines of the team’s preseason game. This may have been surprising because he has been , up,until that point, known as an Under Armour athlete.
Well apparently that’s no longer the case.
UA spokesman Dean Stoyer conformed to ESPN that Jones and the company have mutually parted ways.
Although Jones’ deal had one more year remaining, the separation happened weeks ago, neither side publicly acknowledged the split and Jones continued wear Under Armour cleats and gloves in training camp.
It appears that Julio Jones will not immediately jump to another brand as sources have relayed to ESPN that Jones looked around and he still felt more comfortable in his Under Armour cleats. Since the Baltimore, Maryland based brand is no longer scratching Jones checks to rock their gear, he may opt to cover their logo, as not to give the free advertising.
