TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Roderick Chapman returned Missouri S&T’s opening kickoff back 90 yards for a touchdown and never trailed Tuskegee, who dropped its home opener 16-7 Saturday afternoon at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium.  It would mark the first home loss since a 45-26 defeat in the NCAA Playoffs from November of 2016 against North Carolina Greenville.

Morehouse 23, Miles 21

CHICAGO, IL – Morehouse College beat Miles College 23-21 in the XXI Chicago Football Classic when sophomore quarterback Michael Sims (Detroit, MI) connected with senior wide receiver Tremell Gooden (Atlanta, GA) on hail mary on final play of the game at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. in front of 20,093 fans on Saturday afternoon.

Central State 24, Kentucky State 6

FRANKFORT, Kentucky – The Central State Marauders topped rival Kentucky State, 24-6, on Saturday afternoon.

With the victory, the Marauders improve to 2-2 overall with a 1-1 ledger in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The Thorobreds of KSU fall to 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in the SIAC.

Fort Valley State 20, Benedict 28

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Tigers defeated Fort Valley State Wildcats on Sunday afternoon in their second home stance as senior quarterback, Dominique Harris, launched a 30-yard pass to Drelon Freeman which resulted in a win over eastern division foe, Fort Valley State, 28-20.
