Another addition is headed to the Highest of Seven Hills.
Florida A&M University has landed transfer portal commit Kamryn Grant, continuing to bolster its roster heading into the 2026 campaign. Grant heads to Tallahassee after spending two seasons at Dayton, appearing in 22 contest for the Flyers.
Coming out of Afrocentric High School (Columbus, OH) Grant was scouted as a player who in addition to her ability to put the ball in the basket, is also a tenacious rebounder on both the offensive and defensive backboards. She can also be an impact player on defense, who can use her length to bother ball handlers as well as shooters. These attributes will be a boon to FAMU basketball club last season that was in the bottom fourth in the SWAC in rebounding and allowed the 10th highest opponent field goal percentage (41.3%) in the conference.
FAMU has been active in the portal as the program looks to reload with experienced talent capable of making an immediate impact. Grant’s addition is anticipated to help right the ship for a Florida A&M program that went 8-22 overall and 7-11 in the SWAC a season ago.
