The HBCU Legacy Bowl is set for a major move in 2027, as the premier postseason showcase for NFL draft-eligible HBCU talent heads to Atlanta, Georgia.
Organizers announced that the 2027 HBCU Legacy Bowl will take place at Center Parc Stadium, bringing one of Black college football’s most important events to one of the nation’s most influential Black cultural and sports markets.
In addition to the all-star game, the event will feature its annual Career Fair on February 26, 2027, followed by the HBCU Legacy Bowl on February 27, 2027.
Since its inception, the HBCU Legacy Bowl has served as more than just a football game. The event has become a vital platform for HBCU student-athletes seeking opportunities at the professional level while also connecting participants with career pathways beyond football. NFL scouts, executives, recruiters, and corporate partners have utilized the event to identify talent both on and off the field.
The move to Atlanta is expected to provide increased visibility for participating athletes while placing the event in a city with deep ties to HBCU culture, Black business, and collegiate athletics. Home to several HBCUs and a thriving alumni network, Atlanta offers a natural stage for the continued growth of the event.
As the HBCU Legacy Bowl continues to expand its footprint, the 2027 edition promises to be a celebration of HBCU excellence, professional opportunity, and the enduring legacy of Black college football.
Fans, alumni, and supporters are encouraged to begin making plans now as Atlanta prepares to welcome one of HBCU football’s signature events.
