Toyota Joins Celebration Bowl and MEAC/SWAC Challenge as Official Band of the Year Partner

The pageantry and tradition of HBCU marching bands will receive an even bigger spotlight as Toyota has been announced as the new presenting partner of the Official Fan Page Band of the Year competition for both the Cricket Celebration Bowl and the MEAC/SWAC Challenge.

The partnership further strengthens Toyota’s longstanding commitment to HBCUs, student-athletes, and the rich culture surrounding Black college football. Through its support of the Band of the Year competition, Toyota will help celebrate the talented musicians, dancers, and directors who play a vital role in making HBCU game days among the most unique experiences in sports.

The Official Fan Page Band of the Year competition has become one of the most anticipated fan-driven honors in HBCU athletics, recognizing excellence among marching bands from across the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).

Toyota’s involvement adds another major corporate partner to two of the premier events on the HBCU football calendar. The MEAC/SWAC Challenge annually opens the season with a showcase matchup between conference champions and contenders, while the Celebration Bowl serves as the de facto national championship game for many HBCU football programs.

For HBCU fans, the announcement signals continued growth and investment in the traditions that make Black college football special, with marching bands remaining at the center of the culture and excitement surrounding the sport.
