One of Jordan Brand’s most underrated signature models is finally making a comeback.
According to early reports, the Air Jordan XVI OG “Ginger” is expected to return in Summer 2027, marking the first retro release of the beloved colorway since its original debut in 2001.
Designed by the legend Wilson Smith III, the Air Jordan XVI introduced a luxury-inspired aesthetic to Michael Jordan’s signature line. The “Ginger” colorway quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its premium tan leather upper, matching shroud, white midsole, and gum rubber outsole—delivering a clean, lifestyle-ready look that stood apart from traditional on-court Jordans.
