Victor Oladipo Announces Las Vegas Pro Day as Two-Time NBA All-Star Eyes Return to the League

When Victor Oladipo steps onto the floor in Las Vegas on July 14, it will represent far more than another offseason workout. For the former two-time NBA All-Star, it’s another opportunity to prove that one of basketball’s most resilient competitors still belongs in the league.

Oladipo announced that he will host a Pro Day on Tuesday, July 14, at 11:00 a.m. in Las Vegas. The workout, led by @94feetofgame, will be open to NBA front office executives, scouts, coaches, league personnel, and officials.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to compete, showcase where I am in my game, and connect with everyone in attendance,” Oladipo wrote in his announcement, while thanking fans for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

For NBA decision-makers, the workout offers an up-close look at a player whose career has been defined by both elite talent and remarkable perseverance.

After being selected second overall in the 2013 NBA Draft, Oladipo developed into one of the league’s premier two-way guards. His breakout campaign came during the 2017-18 season with the Indiana Pacers, when he averaged 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game. That season earned him NBA All-Star honors, the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award, and All-NBA Third Team recognition while establishing himself as one of the game’s elite perimeter defenders.

His ascent, however, was interrupted by a devastating quadriceps tendon injury suffered during the 2018-19 season. The injury required surgery and marked the beginning of a difficult stretch that included multiple rehabilitation setbacks and additional knee injuries, preventing him from consistently returning to the All-Star level he once reached.

He last played in the NBA in the 2022-23 season, suiting up for the Miami Heat. Oladipo appeared in 42 games, 2 starts, averaging 10.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per contest.

Despite those challenges, Oladipo has remained committed to returning to the NBA. His latest Pro Day reflects that determination, giving executives and scouts an opportunity to evaluate his health, conditioning, athleticism, and skill set firsthand.

At 33 years old, Oladipo’s résumé still carries weight. He is a two-time NBA All-Star, a former Most Improved Player, and one of the league’s most respected competitors when healthy. Teams searching for veteran leadership, defensive versatility, and playoff experience could view the workout as an opportunity to assess whether the former star can still contribute at the NBA level.

Whether the Pro Day results in an immediate contract offer remains to be seen. But for Oladipo, Tuesday’s workout is another chance to continue writing a comeback story that has been defined by resilience as much as talent.

Sometimes, all a player needs is one more opportunity to remind the league who he is.
