Kith could soon be making its debut in the nation’s capital.
The New York-based lifestyle and fashion retailer is reportedly planning its first Washington, D.C. location, with the proposed store set to open at 3040 M Street NW in Georgetown.
The location would place Kith directly along one of Georgetown’s most prominent shopping corridors. M Street is widely recognized as the heart of Georgetown’s retail district, home to a mix of major fashion brands, boutiques and specialty retailers.
The proposed location also comes with plenty of history. The building at 3040-3050 M Street NW was constructed in 1929 for the Ford Motor Company and is listed by the District of Columbia as part of the Georgetown Historic District.
The approximately 43,781-square-foot property currently represents a major retail opportunity with more than 200 feet of ground-floor frontage along M Street and Thomas Jefferson Street.
The building has previously housed several major retailers, including Nike and Barnes & Noble. WTOP reported that Barnes & Noble opened at the location in 2024 after Nike’s tenancy ended.
If finalized, Kith’s Georgetown store would give the brand a major presence in one of Washington, D.C.’s most recognizable shopping destinations and expand its physical retail footprint into another major U.S. market.
A store opening date has not been announced.
