Azzi Fudd has added another historic achievement to her growing résumé.
The Dallas Wings rookie became the first rookie in WNBA history to win the State Farm WNBA 3-Point Contest, delivering a dazzling shooting performance during All-Star Weekend to etch her name into the league’s record books.
Fudd caught fire when it mattered most, posting 30 points in the championship round to outshoot a talented field and claim the title. Long regarded as one of the purest shooters in basketball, she wasted little time proving that her elite shooting ability translates just as well to the professional level.
Her victory is another milestone in what has already been an impressive rookie campaign. Selected No. 1 overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, Fudd entered the league with lofty expectations after a standout collegiate career at UConn. She continues to show why many believe she is one of the league’s brightest young stars.
By becoming the first rookie to win the WNBA’s premier long-range shooting competition, Fudd has carved out a unique place in league history while adding yet another accomplishment to an already decorated basketball career.
If her rookie season is any indication, Friday night’s performance may be just the beginning.
