Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards has reportedly secured a significant legal victory in his ongoing child support dispute with Ayesha Howard.
According to court documents and reports, a Georgia judge ruled that Edwards’ child support obligation for his daughter with Howard will be set at $3,222 per month — a reduction from the $5,000 monthly payments he had previously been making.
The ruling reportedly came after a lengthy legal battle over which state should handle the case. Edwards argued the matter belonged in Georgia, while Howard had pursued proceedings in California. The court ultimately sided with Edwards on jurisdiction.
Reports also state that the judge criticized Howard’s legal filings and classified her as a “vexatious litigant,” limiting her ability to pursue additional claims in Los Angeles.
Court documents reportedly noted that Edwards had already paid approximately $110,000 in support before the latest ruling, including an initial payment and monthly payments leading up to the court decision.
The dispute has played out publicly for months, with Howard previously accusing Edwards of attempting to conceal assets to avoid California child support obligations — allegations Edwards’ legal team disputed.
Despite the off-court headlines, Edwards remains focused on his NBA career as he prepares for another season as the face of the Timberwolves franchise.
