Angel Reese and A’ja Wilson Named WNBA Week 13 Players of the Week

Angel Reese of the Atlanta Dream and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces have been named the WNBA Week 13 Players of the Week, continuing standout seasons for two of the league’s biggest stars.

Reese earned the Eastern Conference honor after averaging 24.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game during the week.  Reese began the week a 20 point , 10 rebound and 8 assist outing on perfect shooting in the Dream’s 124-88 beat down of the Sparks on August 20. She chased that with a career high 31 points on 14-21 from the field\, to go along with 14 rebounds in a 99-89 win over the Sun on August 22.

Wilson took home the Western Conference award after averaging 24.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game in a pair of outings. The two-time WNBA MVP scored 27 points and pulled down 14 boards in a 97-82 defeat at the Atlanta Dream on August 18. Wilson helped the Aces bounce back by turning in a 20 point, 4 assists and 3 rebound effort in a 101-78 donkey kicking of the Connecticut Sun on August 20.

Both players have been among the WNBA’s most impactful performers this season, and their Week 13 numbers further highlight their dominance.

With the regular season entering its later stages, Reese and Wilson will look to carry that momentum into the final stretch of the WNBA Season 30 campaign.
