Angel Reese Makes WNBA History With Record 26-Rebound Performance

Angel Reese has officially etched her name into the WNBA record books.

The Atlanta Dream star grabbed 26 rebounds in Tuesday night’s 78-71 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks, setting a new WNBA record for most rebounds in a single game.

Reese surpassed the previous record of 24 rebounds, set by Chamique Holdsclaw in 2003.

The historic performance was another statement game for Reese, who finished with 11 points and 26 rebounds for her 27th double-double of the season.

But Reese’s historic night didn’t stop with the single-game record.

With her 26-rebound performance, Reese also moved to 458 rebounds for the season, establishing a new WNBA single-season rebounding record.

Reese has built a reputation as one of the league’s most dominant rebounders, and Tuesday’s performance provided another example of her ability to control the glass at an elite level.

At just 24 rebounds, Holdsclaw’s previous record had stood for more than two decades. Reese needed just two more boards to make history—and she grabbed 26.

The Dream ultimately secured the seven-point victory, but the night belonged to Reese.

26 rebounds. A WNBA single-game record. A new single-season rebounding record.

Angel Reese is officially in the history books.
