Former NBA forward Kenyon Martin has a message for Enes Kanter Freedom following the former NBA center’s heated confrontation with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud during Sunday’s Indiana Fever–Chicago Sky matchup.
Kanter Freedom was escorted out of Wintrust Arena after he and Cloud exchanged words during the game. The incident occurred while Kanter was seated courtside wearing a shirt that defined a woman as an “adult human female.” Security ultimately intervened and removed him from the arena.
Following the incident, Martin criticized Kanter Freedom’s approach and argued that he has already made his position clear.
Martin’s message was essentially: You made your point, but now you’re doing too much.
The criticism comes as Kanter Freedom has continued to make the WNBA a central part of his campaign surrounding the league’s policies and transgender athletes. He has publicly challenged the league and recently declared his intention to pursue the 2027 WNBA Draft.
Sunday’s confrontation added another layer to the controversy.
Kanter Freedom said after being removed that he had been kicked out for “supporting WOMEN,” while Cloud and the Sky moved on from the incident and focused on the game.
