Albany State faces Georgia Southwestern in home opener

After playing 5-straight road games to open the 2022-2023 season, the Albany State men’s basketball team will finally play in front of their home crowd in Albany, Georgia.  The Golden Rams will host the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22 at The Jones Brothers Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex on the ASU East Campus.  The Golden Rams will enter the game with a (0-4) overall record this season.  The Hurricanes are (3-1) overall.
 
The Albany State Golden Rams men’s basketball team began their season by losing to Mississippi College (80-50) and West Alabama (87-56) in the SIAC and Gulf South Conference Basketball Challenge on November 11-13, in Livingston, Alabama.  The Golden Rams also lost close games to Virginia Union (78-73) and Livingstone College (63-59) in the 2022 ATL Has Something to Say HBCU Challenge at Morehouse College on November 18-19, in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
The Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes lost their season opener (75-73) to Emmanuel College.  Since then, the Hurricanes have won 3-straight games against Life University (72-58), Fort Valley State University (72-52) and Clinton College (76-70).  
 
The Golden Rams and Hurricanes last played on December 1, 2021.  On that day, the Hurricanes won by the score of (66-63).
