Albany State hoops takes it on the chin from Miles, 72-52

The Albany State Golden Rams were defeated (72-52) by the Miles College Golden Bears in Knox-Windham Gymnasium on Thursday evening in Fairfield, Alabama. 
 
With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (5-8) overall and (3-4) in the SIAC.  The Golden Bears improved to (8-3) overall and (3-2) in the conference. 
 
The Golden Rams shot 37.5% from the field, 23.5% from the 3 point line and 85.7% from the free throw line. The Golden Rams finished with 9 second chance points and 13 points off the bench.  
 
Andy Antoine led the Golden Rams with 12 points and 6 rebounds.  Shakur Poteat finished with 11 points for the Golden Rams. 
 
The Golden Bears shot 49.2% from the field, 41.7% from the 3 point line and 66.7% from the free throw line.  Alvin Miles led the Golden Bears with 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Elijah Horton finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds.  Mykayle Carter and Spencer Truitt both scored 11 points each.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action at 3:00 pm against Edward Waters University at the ASU West Campus Arena on Saturday, January 13.
