Albany State softball ends regular season on winning note

The Albany State Golden Rams softball team defeated the Trinity Baptist College Eagles in their final regular season games on Monday evening.  With the 2 wins, the Golden Rams improved to (25-14) overall.  The Eagles fell to (6-33).    
 
In game #1, the Golden Rams won (9-0).  The Golden Rams had 10 hits and played an error free game against the Eagles.  Madison Hurt, Romona McLeod, Glory Seay and De’Laynie Hollis all had 2 hits each for the Golden Rams.
 
Romona McLeod led the Golden Rams with 3 RBIs.
 
Kylie Barnett improved to (3-0) after pitching 5 scoreless innings and only allowing 3 hits. 
 
In game #2, the Golden Rams came from behind to defeat the Eagles (11-6). 
 
The Golden Rams finished with 20 hits against the Eagles.  Romona McLeod finished 4/5 from the plate.  Glory Seay went 3/4 from the plate and had 4 RBIs.  Madison Hurt and Ty’Janae Brown also finished with 3 hits each for the Golden Rams.
 
Madison Hurt, Brielle Thompson, Romona McLeod and Trista Murphy all stole a base against the Eagles.
 
Romona McLeod earned the win for the Golden Rams.  McLeod improved to (7-3) after pitching 4 innings in relief.
 
This was the Golden Rams final regular season games until the SIAC Tournament on May 2-4.
