Albany State women’s hoops prepare for Golden Tigers Tuesday night

After participating in the SIAC/ CIAA Challenge, the Albany State Golden Rams women’s basketball team will host the Tuskegee Golden Tigers at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, November 15.  The game will be held at the HPER Complex on the ASU East Campus.
 
The Golden Rams enter the game with an overall record of (1-1).  The Golden Rams earned their first win of the season after defeating the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls (74-71) in the 2022 SIAC/ CIAA Basketball Challenge Saturday, on November 12, in North Carolina.  The Golden Rams lost (62-53) to the Elizabeth City State Vikings in the 2022 SIAC/ CIAA Basketball Challenge Friday, on November 11.    
 
Kashay Hankerson is leading the Golden Rams in scoring with an average of 15.5 points per game.  Juanisha Black is averaging 11.5 points and 12 rebounds per game.
 
The Tuskegee Golden Tigers enter the game with an overall record of (2-0).  Tuskegee defeated Delta State (69-49) and Mississippi College (64-47) in the SIAC/ GSC Challenge.
 
Brittney Bolin is leading the Golden Tigers in scoring with an average of 14 points per game.  JuToreyia Willis is averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.  Ashiala Jackson is averaging 10.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while Arielle McElroy is contributing 10 points per game.
 
The Golden Rams and Golden Tigers last played on January 20, 2022.  On that day, the Golden Tigers defeated the Golden Rams (71-33).  Please note that the basketball game on Tuesday will not count as a SIAC game in the standings.
