Allen Iverson’s signature sneaker is taking a leap into the future.
Nearly 30 years after the debut of the iconic Reebok Question, Iverson has unveiled the Question 96/26, a bold 3D-printed reinterpretation of the silhouette that helped define an era of basketball footwear. Developed in partnership with Zellerfeld, the futuristic design reimagines the Question through modern manufacturing while paying tribute to the sneaker that launched Iverson’s legendary signature line.
Unlike the original leather-and-mesh construction, the Question 96/26 is produced as a one-piece, slip-on sneaker using Zellerfeld’s proprietary 3D-printing technology. The shoe features varying densities throughout the upper and sole, creating additional structure where it’s needed while maintaining flexibility in key areas. Familiar design cues, including the Reebok Vector logo and the Question’s signature Hexalite-inspired pods, remain as visual callbacks to the 1996 classic, even though the cushioning system has been completely reimagined.
The debut colorways include a clean white version alongside Zellerfeld’s signature purple finish, emphasizing the model’s sculptural, futuristic aesthetic rather than traditional performance basketball styling.
Iverson announced the release with the message:
“The Question started in ‘96. Thirty years later, I’m asking it again: What’s next?”
The Reebok Question 96/26 is scheduled to release August 25 at 12 p.m. ET exclusively through Zellerfeld for $169, making it one of the most unique launches celebrating the Question’s 30th anniversary.
