The year 2022 is shaping up as the year of the Air Jordan 2, with a slew of colorways planned to release. One of these is of the collaborative variety and is pictured below.
Maison Château Rouge is continuing their collaborative relationship with Jordan Brand that began on 2019 “Fearless” Air Jordan 1 Mid.
The shape seems to follow the path of the Off-White x Air Jordan 2 in that it is closer to the original. This can particularly seen in the toe box, which is sleeker and more inline with the original and not the box-like appearance of previous retro 2s. As can be seen it sports a white leather upper with various texture found on the overlay and tongue. A jagged motif can be seen underneath the overlay at the eyerow. Red-orange shows up on a toe overlay, piping, tongue stitching and on the rear heel overlay, which also sports “MAISON CHATEAU ROUGE” branding.
On the tongue is a light orange Wings logo, while on the insole is a MJ graphic and “United Youth International” is seen. United Youth International is according to their own literature is “a registered organisation which focuses on international events like webinars, training sessions, volunteering programs and primarily huge events like Model United Nations (MUN) conferences.”
Underneath resides a speckled midsole and a “NIKE” branded white, red and gold rubber outsole.
At this juncture there is no release information on these. We will report it once it avails itself.
