An NBA Arena gets its name back

To many, arena will always be Staples Center, the house that the Utah Jazz ball in will forever be the Delta Center.

On July 1, 2023 that shall be the case once more. According to reporting from Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune, the Jazz and Delta Air Lines have embarked on a naming rights agreement that will return the building to its former name.

The arena, which was built in 1991 was known as the Delta Center until 2006 when it was renamed EnergySolutions Arena. Jazz owner Ryan Smith told the Salt Lake City Tribune he wants the name to stay the same for decades to come.

Terms of the deal were not released.
