The Lady Tigers of Tennessee State led for 75.3 percent of the game and built a double-digit lead and seemed to be firmly in control of the game. Despite holding the Skyhawks to 23.5 % shooting (8-34) in the opening half, the Lady Tigers’ seeming inability to defend without fouling led to Martin shooting 22 free throws, connecting on 16.
