Norfolk State women’s track claims wins at Division I Pre-Nationals

Junior Brooklyn Robinson picked up a win in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.38. She also placed third place in the 60 meters (7.63) and 18th in the long jump (16-6.25). The no.1 defensive team in the Ohio Valley Conference, Eastern Illinois, held Tennessee State to sub 40% in three of four quarters as the Panthers handily defeated Tennessee State 69-49 Thursday night.  The Panthers controlled the first quarter, trailing in the period. Tennessee State turned in a strong performance on the glass, turned 19 WIU turnovers into 33 points, and scored 39 points off the bench in an 87-69 defeat of Western Illinois Thursday night.  Although the Tennessee State didn’t have their shooting eye in the first half, shooting just 38.9 in the game’s opening half, the Tigers hit the glass and turned defense into offense.
