Southern to end camp with scrimmage Saturday

From Southern University Sports Information: The Southern University Jaguars ends summer camp with a controlled scrimmage on Saturday. The Jags went 90 plays and kept it simple in both offensive and defensive playbooks. Mississippi Valley State has first scrimmage of the year

The Delta Devils had their first full inter squad scrimmage of the season this Saturday during the team’s practice. Head football coach Vincent Dancy seemed to be cautiously optimistic about what he saw on the field. Here is what he had to say post-practice : “Overall, it wasn’t bad. We got 60-70 plays in and not too many flags. We’ve got some improving to do, but we got a lot on film to evaluate. Grambling wide receiver and his brother amongst three shot in New Orleans

Tragedy touched the Grambling State Football program this week. Red-shirt senior wide receiver Darrell Clark and his younger brother Keyon, was amongst three people shot out a New Orleans gym. Clark and the other ,as of yet, unidentified victim were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
