According to The Athletic’s Ethan Strauss, at the D-League showcase, several NBA execs indicated Karl-Anthony Towns is “unhappy” with the current state of the 11-20, 13th in the Western Conference Minnesota Timberwolves. Strauss also reports the Timberwolves would be interested in acquiring Russell to pair with Towns via trade ( the two are close friends and there were rumblings of Russell going to Minnesota this past offseason).
