Marc Gasol out a few weeks with hamstring issue

Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol will be sidelined a few weeks with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Gasol left Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors with a left hamstring strain after just eight minutes on the floor. Fred Van Vleet out against Chicago

Toronto Raptors point guard Fred Van Vleet will miss the team’s game against the Chicago Bulls ( not that they need him to beat the abysmal Bulls) due to a knee contusion. Van Vleet suffered the injury against the Philadelphia 76ers. Murphy adds that a subsequent MRI came back clean but the team decided to er on the side of caution and hold him out of Monday night’s contest. Norman Powell will start in Van Vleet’s place.

Raptors Anunoby to miss Blazers game with eye contusion

The Toronto Raptors announced small OG Anunoby will miss the team’s Wednesday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Anunoby suffered an eye contusion in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers when former teammates Kawhi Leonard inadvertently poked him in the eye whilst the two were jockeying for position. Anunoby saw an eye specialist in Los Angeles but no timetable has been given for his return. Through the 10 games, Anunoby is averaging 11.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists and 30 minutes per game.

Patrick McCaw out several weeks

Toronto Raptors guard/forward Patrick McCaw , will be out for several weeks , according to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania. Raptors’ head coach Nick Nurse told The Athletic’s Eric Koreen that McCaw was seeing a specialist to further evaluate his knee. McCaw has appeared in just two of the team’s six games, averaging 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in twenty minutes per contest.
