DeMarcus Cousins signs with Puerto Rican team Guaynabo Mets as initial step of NBA comeback

According to reporting from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, NBA veteran center DeMarcus Cousins signed with Guaynabo Mets of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional , which is the first-tier professional men’s basketball league in Puerto Rico. The four-time NBA All-Star was one the league’s preimenent big man and players overall, averaging 22 points and 10 rebounds before suffering a torn Achilles toward the later part of the 2017-18 season and then tore his ACL, costing him the entire 2019-20 season. It was reported by Chris Haynes and others Thursday that Lebron James would possibly return to action for the Lakers final few games of the regular season. However the Lakers superstar was quick to refute those reports calling into question the legitimacy of those alleged “sources”.
