The Tennessee State men’s basketball team led for most of the game and was able to get a needed OVC win 84-76.  TSU jumped out to an early 8-0 lead on Carlous Williams’ three-point shot at the 17:56 mark. After a close and competitive first half, Lindenwood was able to seize control of the game and set a pace that proved to be too great for the Tennessee State Lady Tigers to keep up with, as they were bested by the Lions 81-70.  Lindenwood scored the first 6b points of the game and would take a 6-2 lead before Tennessee State tied the game at 8 apiece when Krystal Haddock connected from downtown at the 5:43 mark. In a recent game, Sacramento Kings forward and Kobe line flag carrier DeMar DeRozan broke out the “Think Pink/Kay Yow” Kobe IX EM. Ben Simmons to sign with Los Angeles Clippers

Ben Simmons has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Clippers and will sign with the teams once he clears waivers according to Shams Charania.  Earlier on Saturday Simmons and the Brooklyn Nets agreed on a buyout, making the enigmatic power forward a free agent. The buyout ends three underwhelming seasons in Brooklyn in which Simmons appeared in just 90 of a possible 216 games and put up per-game averages of 6.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.0 steals in 25.0 minutes of action.  Simmons, 28, was acquired by…

Nate Robinson gets life saving operation

Former NBA guard Nate Robinson underwent a successful kidney transplant Friday morning at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. An ESPN chronicle of Robinson’s ordeal revealed that the three-time slam dunk champion (2006, 2009, and 2010) learned during his rookie year with the New York Knicks that his kidneys were it. Tennessee State takes care of Western Illinois, 87-69

Tennessee State turned in a strong performance on the glass, turned 19 WIU turnovers into 33 points, and scored 39 points off the bench in an 87-69 defeat of Western Illinois Thursday night.  Although the Tennessee State didn’t have their shooting eye in the first half, shooting just 38.9 in the game’s opening half, the Tigers hit the glass and turned defense into offense.
