A trip into sample land gives us glimpse of what could have been, what should have been, and often will never be.
The depicted Air Jordan 11 colourways could be a case of all three. The images, which were posted to twitter by the incomparable zsneakerheadz, show two pair of 11s, a black-based pair and that of a white, each resembling a version of the fabled “DMP” colourway (while the black pair is visually reminiscent of 2020’s “Jubillee” 11). Both feature ”JORDAN” spelled down the lace loops, ( as seen on some pairs of the DMP 11 and came standard on the Jubilee) as well as a golden Jumpman on the lateral ankle. Additionally present is the more accurate higher cut patent leather hands, with the black pair sporting a milky outsole and the white pair, a blue-tinged translucent outsole.
With these being look-see versions there is no indication either of these will ever come to retail but if Jordan Brand wants to swell their already bloated coffers even more release these, and do so as a pack. Their stockholders as well as their P&L sheets will benefit greatly.
