Coppin State women’s basketball puts team activities on hold

BALTIMORE – The Coppin State women’s basketball team has temporarily paused activities after a positive COVID-19 test within the program.

The positive test result was detected during routine COVID-19 surveillance testing, which is conducted three times a week in accordance with NCAA guidelines.

As a result of the positive test, Coppin has cancelled its games at Mount St. Mary’s on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Maryland on Saturday, Dec. 5.

In addition, the Coppin State men’s game against Towson, set for Thursday, Dec. 3, has been postponed.  

The program will resume activity in accordance with the university and athletic department’s established protocols.
