Delaware State Volleyball faces Nebraska in opening round of NCAA Tournament

The Delaware State women’s volleyball team will face No. 2 seed Nebraska in the first round of the 2022 Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship on Thursday December 1 as announced on the NCAA Women’s Selection Special which aired on ESPNU Sunday night.
 
The Hornets and Cornhuskers who enter this week as two of the top teams in opposition hitting percentage will face off against each other for the first time between these two programs.
 
Delaware State earned its first-ever bid to the Women’s Volleyball Championship after clinching the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Championship title to receive the automatic bid to the tournament. Delaware State joins Fairleigh Dickinson University, Southeastern University and Quinnipiac University as the four teams making its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearances.
 
First serve is currently scheduled for Thursday, December 1 at 8 p.m. central time. Live coverage for the match will be announced upon availability.
