Six-time NBA All-Star DeMar DeRozan may be closer than ever to joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
According to multiple reports, DeRozan’s agent has reached out to the 76ers, and the two sides are negotiating over Philadelphia’s final roster spot on a veteran minimum contract.
The most compelling part of the story isn’t the contract—it’s DeRozan’s mindset.
After spending 17 NBA seasons as one of the league’s most consistent scorers, the 37-year-old is reportedly willing to accept any role necessary, including coming off the bench, if it gives him a legitimate opportunity to compete for his first NBA championship.
