Wiley University has officially named Dr. Destiny Lane Frazier as the 13th head coach of its women’s basketball program, ushering in a new era for the Lady Wildcats with one of the rising young leaders in collegiate basketball.
Frazier arrives at Wiley after serving as the head coach at LaGrange College, where she helped elevate the Panthers program while emphasizing player development, academic achievement, and a competitive culture. Her coaching résumé also includes time as an assistant coach and strength and conditioning coach at Berry College, giving her experience in multiple facets of building successful collegiate programs.
A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, Frazier has earned a reputation as a coach who develops student-athletes both on and off the court. Her leadership philosophy centers on accountability, discipline, and preparing players for success beyond basketball.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Destiny Lane Frazier to the Wiley University family,” university officials said in announcing the hire. “Her passion for mentoring student-athletes and her vision for building a championship culture made her the ideal choice to lead our women’s basketball program.”
Frazier becomes the 13th head coach in program history and takes over a Lady Wildcats team looking to continue its growth within the HBCU and NAIA landscape. Her hiring reflects Wiley University’s commitment to investing in women’s athletics and positioning the program for long-term success.
As preparations begin for the 2026-27 season, expectations are high that Frazier’s energy, leadership, and coaching experience will help elevate the Lady Wildcats on the court while continuing the university’s mission of academic and athletic excellence. Ok
