Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was hit with a $50,000 fine for “tampering.”
The cause of said fine stemmed from comments Green made on a recent appearance on Inside The NBA in regards to Devin Booker.
Green would say of the budding young star, to “get my man out of Phoenix” and that his current locale “was not good for his career.”
We have been rightfully critical of the NBA’s inconsistent enforcement of tampering rules but Green made it easy for the goofs at the League office by basically confessing the offense. When asked by host Ernie Johnson was he tampering, Green responded with “maybe.”
