Wednesday the Croatian Basketball Federation released the preliminary list of 24 players rostered for the upcoming 2022 EuroBasket.

For Dario Saric, it will be his first action since tearing his ACL in Game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks. For Saric, the goal is to get back in shape for the coming NBA season but also to represent his country in this international competition.
Though the rostered is peppered with NBA players, including those ,such as Ivica Zubac and Bojan Bogdanovic, who have been relied upon contributors to playoff teams, the Croatian squad did not fare well in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. They brought up the caboose in Group C, finishing behind Finland, Slovenia and Sweden.
In the prelims, Croatia is part of group C. Playing in Milan, Italy the Croatian team will take on Great Britain, Italy, Estonia and Ukraine from September 2-8. The top four teams will advance to the knockou round in Berlin from September 10-18.
