February 8 SWAC Men’s Basketball Honorees

from the Southwestern Athletic Conference

The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Jackson State’s Terence Lewis II and Alabama State’s Juan Reyna for SWAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors for their outstanding performances during this past week of conference play.

Player of the Week Terence Lewis II |Forward | Jackson State University


Lewis had a spectacular weekend for Jackson State as he averaged 21 points per game along with 11 rebounds per game, and one steal per game. He tallied a double-double with a game high 28 points along with 10 rebounds on Saturday during JSU’s 69-65 win over Mississippi Valley State. He followed that performance up with another double-double performance as he contributed 14 points along with 12 rebounds during Jackson State’s 60-47 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Impact Player of the Week Juan Reyna | Guard | Alabama State


Reyna helped Alabama State split on the road against Grambling State and Southern averaging 20 points per game in the two contests. He scored a career-high 25 points against Grambling State on the road while shooting 7-of-8 from the floor (4-of-5 from beyond the arc) and perfect from the free throw line (7-of-7). Reyna followed that up with a 15-point performance against Southern as he connected on 4-of-7 attempts from the floor including three three-pointers.
