Former Knick GM insinuates that Zach LaVine is overpaid

Zach LaVine’s slow smoldering and impending divorce with the Chicago Bulls has been scuttlebutt around the NBA. The Bulls’ All-Star guard has allegedly requested a trade out of the Windy City and as the Bulls have drunkenly stumbled out of the gates 5-10, several teams have started sniffing around regarding LaVine.

Former New York Knicks GM Scott Perry is not impressed with LaVine and he let it be known with some recent comments regarding the two-time Slam Dunk champ:

“Zach LaVine can score the basketball…Does he impact winning? Zach LaVine has been to 1 playoff series in 9 years. He’s played a total of 4 playoff basketball games…I’m looking at $40, $43, $46 & $49 million for a guy who—to this point—has not impacted winning to the level that his money says he should impact…”

Last July Zach LaVine signed a five-year $215 contract. As Bulls has gotten off to a slow start so has LaVine; he’s averaging 21.3 points points , 5.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists , however he’s shooting just 43% from the floor , his lowest efficiency rate since his rookie campaign.
