French company debuts NFT sneakers

Sneakmart, a French start-up with a mobile application focused on streetwear, has launched Metakicks, the first collection of NFT sneakers, available via mystery boxes, meaning the customer is ignorant of which pair is in the “box” at the time of purchase.

There are 15 unique animated sneaker designs with 3D backgrounds. According to a media release from the brand, there will be an initial drop of 6,250 Metakicks that will be available for purchase. The aforementioned designs will be randomly distributed amongst the Metakicks boxes and are classifed by rarity : normal, rare, super rare and epic. Sneakmart, through joint efforts with brands and celebrities, plans to unveil a series of 1 of 1 editions. Within that initial 6,250 run the company has hidden a hyped physical shoe in 10% of the boxes.

Sneaker lovers like to collect and wear a lot of sneakers. Everyone loves sneakers today, everyone wears them. With Metakicks, we want to give the possibility to start collecting digital sneakers through unique designs
