In their series with Allen University, the Albany State offense has been quite lively, generating 23 runs through the first two games. The Golden Rams pitching has been getting it done in their own right, not surrendering a single run and only allowing four Yellow Jacket hits over the two games. While the ASU bats were certainly active, scoring 13 runs on Sunday afternoon it was the Rams arms that took, their performance to another level, throwing a no-hitter in their 13-0 victory.

The rams scored five runs in the bottom of the first with RBIs from singles from Keyatta Ayers and Ciweya Tennison, a triple from Trista Murphy, a Morgan Brown ground out, and a Tyjanae Brown double.

The next round of offensive fireworks would come in the fourth inning. Madison Hurt stated things off with a single and subsequently stole second base. Hurt reached third on an Ayers ground out and then scored on a wild pitch. Kennedy Dora and Trista Murphy both drew walks and a single from Brown scored Murphy. De’Laynie Hollis drew a walk which scored Dora and Mykhayla Carroll also drew a walked which scored Glory Seay, making the score 9-0. Amaya Terry’s two-run double scored Hollis and Harris , giving the Golden Rams a 11-0 advantage. Singles from Hurts and Ayers drove in the final two runs of the contest, for a final tally of 13-0.

Pitchers Kierra Washington ( 3.0 IP, 6K) and Kamari Morrow ( 2.0 IP, K) combined to completely silence the Yellow Jacket bats, hurling a no-hitter for the Golden Rams.
