COVID-19 has claimed year another HBCU’s basketball game, the latest being Jackson State’s home opener against Southeastern Baptist, which was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. This is the second consecutive contest that have been cancelled for the Tigers, their December 21 tilt against Stephen F. Austin cancelled for the same reason.
Despite the setback, the JSU men’s hoops( 2-9) team is expectant to resume action when they tip-off Southwestern Athletic Conference play Monday, January 3 against the Tigers of Bethune-Cookman.
