Plenty of people wear Air Jordan’s and the other day James Harden was one of them. However as those masses of people do not have major endorsement deals with rival brands as Harden does.
Harden was spotted as he came out of a movie theatre wearing some Air Jordans. Although the 13 year $200 million the James Harden signed back in August of this year does not go into effect until October 1, this is such a bad look on multiple levels. The shiny new signing, who will be one of the faces of your basketball arm, seen openly rocking your rival delusters Adidas basketball and the brand as a whole.
Adidas North America Mark Davis had this to say:
“The difference between football and basketball is that a guy like Aaron Rodgers doesn’t have a walk-around shoe,” King said. “Harden does, and he will be in our lifestyle stuff.”
This is a rather inauspicious start to a relationship which technically hasn’t even commenced yet. How hard are they laughing at this over on Bowerman Drive?
