According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, center Jonas Valanciunas is expected to agree to a three year, $45 million deal.
Valanciunas opted out of a player option worth $17.6 million dollar, which would allow him to become a unrestricted free agent and negotiate a longer term deal with the Grizzlies.
After being acquired from the Raptors in the Marc Gasol deal, Valanciunas posted averages of 19.9 points and 10.7 rebounds, which is a noticeable increase from his career production of 11.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
