Jordan Brand adds four rookies to its roster

Jordan Brand announced the addition of four NBA rookies into its fold- Marcus Sasser, Cam Whitmore, Jett Howard, and Jaime Jaquez Jr.

After a decorated collegiate career at the University of Houston, the 6-2 guard was selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. He scored 17 points in the Pistons’ most recent preseason game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Cam Whitmore

Whitemore was named the Big East Freshman of the Year, after his frosh year at Villanova in which he averaged 12.5 points abd 5.3 rebouds per game. He also helped lead the United States claim gold in the FIBA U18 Americas Championship. Whitmore tallied 15 points and was a +21 in just 17minutes in the Rockets’ preseason game against the Indiana Pacers.

Jett Howard

The son of Fab 5 member and current Michigan coach Juwan Howard, earned multiple Bug Ten honors in his lone season in Ann Arbor. Howard was taken with the 11th overall selection. by the Orlando Magic and brings shooting, versatility and playmaking to a young Magic roster that is starting to brim with talent.

jaime Jaquez, Jr.

In his four years at UCLA, Jaquez Jr appeared in 134 games, starting in 126, and finished with averages of 13. 4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 31.5 minutes per contest. He lead the team in his senior campiagn with 17.8 points and 8.2 rebounds and was named Lute Olson National Player of the Year, amongst several awards. Teken with the 18th overall pick by the Miami Heat, the youngster has already earned priase from All-Star teammate Jimmy Butler.
