Over the past several years Jordan Brand has been castigated , and rightfully so, for their retro efforts. From materials used ( or omitted in some cases) , height, colors, shapes, have contributed to products that have drawn the ire ( though not enough to stop them from buying substandard products) of consumers worldwide.
The last edition of the “Flint” Air Jordan 13 was a prime example one of Jordan Brand’s half-assed efforts. The most glaring defect was the mystifying omission of reflective 3M on the side panels. It was this negligence that caused that version to be so maligned.
The 2020 version of Flint 13 looks to rectify that wrong by returning in close to its original form, including reflective 3M side panels.
It is a sad state of affairs that when a sneaker company does the bare minimum, in this case re-releasing a shoe with its original features, it is now somehow newsworthy.
