The Los Angeles Clippers top two acquisitions, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will apparently take the court together for the first time in the team’s Wednesday night game against the Boston Celtics.
George, who was acquired in a massive and surprising trade this offseason, missed the first 11 games of the season as he recovered from shoulder surgery.
George revealed to ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, that he and Leonard coming together on the Clippers was the culmination of an effort of a few years to join forces. PG said he’d actually requested a trade to the Spurs when while he was with the Pacers.
Since that moment, we were trying to pair up with one another. We were trying to make it work. I had obligations that I wanted to come back to Oklahoma and give it another shot, and then I felt that I needed to move on. I needed to go in another direction and I needed to at that point do what I wanted to do my whole career.”

With Kawhi in-and-out of the lineup and George not playing, the Clippers are 9-5.
